Description: John Jocys somehow managed to win this one, even though he said his set packed in after the second transmission. There haven't been many DFs over on the extreme left of the map. John Heath was hidden high up on an old coal slag heap. There was a tot of whiskey and a mince pie for all finishers. We found out from Dave Chippendale in the pub that he had ended up in Borsdane Woods a mile to the east, attracted by the disused railways and the signal also being quite strong.

The weather was crisp and perfectly still. When we'd all found the transmitter (and waiting for the two Daves) we could hear quite clearly the beeping of some JCBs at work that we could see a couple of miles away at Wingates industrial park to the east.
