Description: Dave Holland, back from
Spitzbergen for the festive period was able to compete in this DF
using his wife's car, making this one of the largest ever
turnouts for a local event. John Jocys wasn't difficult to find
on site, in fact he wasn't hidden at all, but as you can see from
the map it was very difficult to know which side of the river to
go for, and the nearby pylons also helped throw the signal. John
was between the river and the brick boundary wall of Dunham Park
(which made approaching the site from inside Dunham Park
impossible). Chris Heys guessed the wrong side of the river and
approached the south. John gave Chris a wave from the opposite
bank of the river and it was a further 15 minutes running for
Chris as he legged it across fields and fences to the nearest
bridge to cross over the river.
