This was Dave Peacock's first attempt at transmitting. Unfortunately, a loose connection in the transmitter meant it was not audible for the first and second transmissions. Chris Plummer (who built the transmitter) opened his envelope to see where Dave was hidden. He then got there swiftly, shouted out to Dave who gave himself up so that Chris could then fix the transmitter (gave it a good bang). From then on Dave was able to transmit for the remaining competitors. Dave was well hidden in a loads of heather. Chris Plummer still saw it fit to award himself 6 points!?
